Tastings
Eight wines (give or take one or two) they might be the same grape variety, or
the product of the same region or country, or new releases that usually share some
common theme. We serve some nibbles most often bread and cheese. Occasionally we'll
invite a neighboring restaurant to cook up a little food. CWC tastings are casual and
self-pacing, but we're always available to answer questions....and you can purchase the
wines you taste at discounted prices!
FAQ's about Tuesday Tastings:
1. Do they start promptly at 7pm -- what if we can't make it until 7:30?
- Pretty promptly, yes, but if we have enough wine in the bottles and enough time, you can
jump in late. Sometimes though, we're down to a drop in the bottle and if it's too late,
we won't open another one, and you're out of luck...but there's always our wine by the
glass list...
2. Does the $25 include a tip? -
No, it doesn't. In fact, the $25 rarely covers the cost of the wine poured -- we're not
expecting sympathy, after all we often sell some wine as a direct result of the tasting.
However, we're low-key on the selling, and there is absolutely no obligation to purchase
anything in addition to the tasting itself. The main wine guy (aka owner) is usually the
person doing the pouring, but he doesn't get the tip money -- that goes to the terrific
staff who do everything else.
3. Why don't you do a tasting of my
favorite wines? - Just tell us what they
are! Or, use Tuesday Tastings to discover new favorite wines.
